Standard tickets are for self-guided entry to the museum. Book online to get the best price. The Audio Guide is available to download for FREE on Android/iOS. Walk-ins are also welcome at EPIC and you can buy your tickets when you arrive from our ticket desk at our standard rate. One Ticket – Two Visits! There’s so much to see and do at EPIC that one visit is never enough. That’s why we’ve included a FREE return visit with your ticket within 10 days.

Important information

What is included with my standard ticket to EPIC?

Standard tickets to EPIC also permit visitors one return visit to the museum within 30 days of their original visit, subject to terms and conditions.

What are the opening times?

EPIC is open daily all year round (except 24 – 25 December). We open at 10:00am. Last entry is 5:00pm and the museum closes at 6:45pm.

Do I have to book in advance?

We recommend that visitors book in advance via our website to ensure entry at their preferred date and time slot. By booking in advance you also ensure you pay the cheapest price. However tickets can still be purchased without a reservation from our ticket desk when you arrive. If our museum reaches capacity first preference will be given to those that have booked in advance online from our website and approved third party affiliates.

Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?

Visitors aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times when visiting our museum and special events.

Can I make a group booking for my school/society/club?

If you are trying to book a group of 20+ people, or are a school, charity, special interest group, or tour operator, please contact our sales team directly for more information on special rates, and to make a booking.

Are there special rates for carers?

Carers are admitted free of charge to EPIC Museum when they are accompanying the person in their care who have a valid adult or child ticket. Please note this only applies for standard admission to our museum. It does not apply to combo tickets, IFHC genealogy consultations or special events (e.g. Santa, Tiny Tots, EPIC Explorers, etc).

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and CHQ are fully wheelchair accessible. A courtesy push wheelchair is available upon request.

Can I store my bags/luggage?

There are secure, coin operated lockers at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum that can accommodate standard sized, carry-on luggage. Lockers accept €1 coins.

Is there a car park close by?

Parking is available from Park Rite IFSC on Commons Street, to the rear of Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. You can avail of a discounted rate by including parking when purchasing your EPIC tickets online - you’ll receive a rebate ticket from EPIC which can then be used at the pay station when you leave the car park.

Can I take photos inside and outside the museum?

Absolutely, in fact we recommend it and love to see photos shared on our social media channels! We encourage all our general guests and visitors to take as many they wish within our museum and The CHQ Building for their personal use. However we do ask that you be mindful of other visitors and guests when you do so.
